San Leandro Rifle & Pistol Range

Welcome!

The San Leandro Rifle & Pistol Range is an indoor/outdoor shooting facility open to the public and law enforcement agencies.

The San Leandro Range has been open to the public since 1957 and is owned and operated by the Optimist Club of San Leandro. The Optimist Club has been a National Rifle Association (NRA) member since 1948, and our staff is NRA-certified. Income from the range supports the Club's various community service projects.

It is one of the few remaining indoor/outdoor ranges in the Bay Area available for public use.

Please have a look at our range Activities page for additional events that are available to the public. We also offer private rental classrooms for instruction. These private classes are set up through independent instructors, not the San Leandro Rifle & Pistol Range. In other words, private lessons are set up through individual instructors, not the range.

We DO NOT rent firearms!

We DO NOT offer Security Guard Classes.

Please be aware that all firearms MUST be in a case when entering or leaving our range facility.

What do you need to shoot here?

1. Shooters of all ages need a valid photo ID.

2. You need a firearm.
(We do not rent firearms!)

And that is it, simple as that.

Prices

General Admission: $25.00 Per Shooter

No hourly time limit during regular business hours.

No discounts are available at this time.

We are a cashless business - credit, debit, and contactless payment only!

Mon - Friday

Outdoor Ranges: 9:00 am to 8:45 pm
Indoor Range: Lanes are open to the public except for every Wednesday after 5:00 PM when it is reserved for our Junior Rifle Club

Saturday

Outdoor Ranges: 9:00 am to 4:45 pm
Indoor Range: 9:00 am to 8:45 pm

Sunday

Outdoor Ranges: 9:00 am to 4:45 pm
Indoor Range: 9:00 am to 4:45 pm

On weekdays, you might want to call ahead or check out the calendar on this page as Law Enforcement and other groups use the ranges at times on those days for practice and qualification. Thank you!
